Anat Kaplan studied, appraised, curated, taught, and created various forms of art all on the road to finding the place her spirit truly sings: jewelry design. Anat holds an MA and teaching diploma in Art History, lives in Toronto’s Wychwood neighbourhood and can often be found sorting aquamarines to the tune of Bruni or Debussy while sipping mint tea.

If you have a piece of jewellery that is in need of a general repair, please bring it in to any Magpie Location and we will be happy to have one of our trusted on site goldsmiths examine the piece and give you an estimate. APPRAISALS
At Magpie Jewellery we are proud to have Graduate Gemologists and an accredited appraiser recognized by the Canadian Jewellers Association heading our appraisal department.
Book your appraisal for your Gold and Diamond jewellery at info@magpiejewellery.com. Martin Wright does appraisals by appointment in Westboro only.
Appraisals start at $85.00 for a basic appraisal of one piece. Appraisals provide customers with a ‘market value’ of their jewellery, a dollar amount for the piece if it had to be replaced in event of a theft. Appraisals are needed for any insurance claims. We also do appraisals for divorces/fair market value/liquidation, Estate pieces, Antique pieces, research provenance etc.
